汞与其他金属组成的合金。汞齐中其他金属含量较少时为液态；较多时为糊状；汞少到一定程度时为固态。汞齐中的汞也可与其他金属形成金属间化合物或电子化合物。形成汞齐的难易程度，与金属在汞中的溶解度有关。一般说来，与汞性质相近的金属易于溶解。元素周期表中的同族元素,随原子序数的增加,在汞中的溶解度也增加。铊在汞中的溶解度最大，18℃时为42.8％。铁在汞中的溶解度最小，18℃时为1.0×10-17％,因此常用铁制作盛汞容器。传统的"混汞法"即利用形成汞齐的方法从矿石中提取金。工业中常用汞作阴极，通过电解，形成汞齐，以制取烧碱或提纯金属。汞齐还可用作牙科金属材料。
