The quality requirements for the large turbine runner blade castings, which include the shape and size, chemical composition, mechanical properties, residual stress, machining allowance, repair welding, as well as no shrinkage & porosity in casting, no defect and so on, were connected to working procedures according to their correlation degree.

In this paper, blade with cast defect is repaired by laser cladding with Ni-based alloy powder made by ourselves.
