   发电厂既生产电能,又利用汽轮发电机作过功的蒸汽对用户供热的生产方式。以热电联产方式运行的火电厂称为热电厂。对外供热的蒸汽源是抽汽式汽轮机的调整抽汽或背式汽轮机的排汽,压力通常分为0.78~1.28兆帕(MPa)和0.12~0.25MPa两等。前者供工业生产,后者供民用采暖。热电联产的蒸汽没有冷源损失,所以能将热效率提高到85%,比大型凝汽式机组(热效率达40%)还要高得多。热电联产不仅大量节能,而且可以改善环境条件,提高居民生活水平。但热电联产把电厂的发电与用户的用热紧密联系,降低了灵活性,同时也增加了电厂的投资。因此,只有对城市规划和集中供热区作统筹安排,在热负荷充分保证的条件下,确定合理的建设方案,才能收到良好的综合效益。
