By analysing the combustion characteristics of anthracite Ⅱ produced in Fu-jian,the authors conclude that the key to the improvement of heat efficiency of an-thracite Ⅱ burned in a circulating fluidized-bed boiler is to prolong the residence time ofthe fine particles of the fuel.

An analysis was conducted of a fluidized bed boiler firing anthracite mixed wit h gangue.
