It is the first time that asphalt pavement construction of semi-rigid base is used in the roadways of container terminals in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Container Port Area.

Based on relevant stipulations of the Code for Port Pavement Design and the Code for Highway Asphalt Pavement, it studies and discusses some technological problems demanding prompt solution during application of asphalt pavement for semi－ rigid base in container wharf, which may provide references for engineering design and test and research.
