| 金翅雀 Carduelis；greenfinches 鸟纲雀形目雀科金翅雀属鸟类的通称。嘴缘直，形尖 ，一般不呈膨胀状；体色主要为黄绿色，或呈纵纹状，并常具黄或红色斑。全世界有24种，中国有5种。 金翅雀在中国终年留居各地平原，亦可见于山地。多栖息于针叶树或阔叶树上，也常在灌丛中活动。冬季多成大群活动。主要取食植物，如草籽、松籽等，也吃少量谷物，夏季兼食昆虫。3～7月为繁殖期。在松、杨、竹、榕等树上营巢。巢成杯状，以杂草，细根等物构成，外敷以苔藓、蜘蛛丝，内垫羊毛、羽绒等。在华南地区每年可产2～3窝卵，每窝卵4～5枚。卵浅绿或白色，钝端杂有黑色或褐色斑点。金翅雀是中国北方普通笼鸟之一。
