从费县塔山林场沿天庭大道至二郎刀停车场或沿葫芦崖台阶路至西老口向东北2.5公里处，海拔935米，山顶平坦，原名平仙顶，后因上有玉皇庙，改今名。蒙山的主要山峰中，只有此处称玉皇顶，且建有玉皇庙。立于玉皇顶，置身云端，深涧绝壁，拔地通天，直立如削，眺望山下，阡陌纵横，村落相连，但不闻鸡犬之声，远离人间烟火，有一种人间天上的感觉。

玉后顶峰巅平坦，一座古庙坐北朝南，即有名的玉皇庙为明代建筑。现存玉皇殿共三间，东西6.38米，进深4.2米，砖石结构，墙体皆为条石垒成，厚1.1米，为无梁殿，穹窿形石碹顶，上覆灰陶筒瓦，形制为硬山单脊。玉皇顶实为天庭探险、膜拜之佳地。
