性质:指胎冠部位缓冲层或带束层以上的外胎胶层,或外胎与地面接触的轮胎行驶面。由胎冠胶、基部胶和胎面下部胶构成。其作用是防止胎体受机械损伤、传递车辆牵引力和制动力、缓冲轮胎在行驶过程中所承受的冲击。要求具有良好的耐磨、耐刺扎性能,好的弹性和对地面的抓着性能。根据车辆的行驶要求选用不同类型的花纹。通常通过成型、硫化使胎面与外胎成为一体。为了延长外胎的寿命,有时采用由一个或数个带有钢丝帘线等骨架材料制成的、可以更换的活胎面,这种胎面在使用中磨损后,更换方便,成本也低。
