The correlation between corrosion pit with equivalent initial surface crack;

Single edge notch tension(SENT) specimens with 100～300mm diameter corrosion pit prefabricated at the root of the notch were used to investigate the behavior of corrosion fatigue small-crack of 2024-T62 high strength aluminum alloys.

The corrosion pits on the blade surface contributed to such failure as an additive factor.
