冰川槽谷
又称冰川谷或u形谷。冰川槽谷的横剖面近似u字形，谷底开阔平缓，两壁边坡陡峭。谷坡上部常有明显小平台，称谷肩，槽谷两侧岩壁多形成冰蚀三角面，这使槽谷平直畅通，而槽谷的谷底宽度自上游到下游由宽变窄，与一般河谷恰好相反。冰川谷一般是冰川占据以前的河谷或山谷，由于冰川对底床和谷壁不断进行挖蚀和刨蚀，将原来的谷地改造成冰川谷。组成冰床的基岩节理发育程度不等，软硬程度不同，冰川谷在纵剖面上多呈梯状，即冰盆和冰槛相间。在节理稀疏或坚硬岩石段，以刨蚀为主，形成冰槛；在节理密集或软弱岩石段，以挖蚀为主形成冰盆。在我国西部山区有深达千米的大槽谷。
