| 平流层 stratosphere 从对流层顶到约50千米高度的大气层。平流层内，温度随高度上升而增高，下半部随高度变化较小，上半部则增高得快。这种温度随高度升高而增高的特征，是由于大气中的臭氧主要集中在这一层，并且对太阳紫外辐射强烈的吸收形成的。层内水气和尘埃等很少，很少有云出现。平流层内气压和密度随高度的变化比对流层内缓慢。至于风，中纬度地区夏季，平流层下部仍盛行西风，风速随高度减小，到22～25千米，渐次转为东风，风速随高度加大。冬季的情况较复杂。平流层内空气大多作水平运动，对流十分微弱。大气污染物进入平流层后能长期存在。因此，保护平流层环境不受污染，具有重要意义。在高纬度地区，冬季在20～30千米高度上有贝母云。平流层顶位于离地面50～55千米高度，温度约0℃，气压约为100帕。 |
