      可分正盐M2SO4和酸式盐MHSO4(M为+1价金属或其他价态金属)。硫酸盐矿有芒硝、石膏、重晶石、天青石等。大多数硫酸盐是无色的。酸式硫酸盐都易溶于水。除了铅、钙、锶、钡的正硫酸盐难溶及Hg(I)、Ag(I)的正硫酸盐微溶外,多数正盐也都易溶于水。用生成难溶的硫酸钡沉淀的方法,可以定性和定量地鉴定硫酸根离子。硫酸盐的制法有:①将金属溶在硫酸中;②用金属氧化物或氢氧化物中和硫酸;③硫酸与挥发性酸的盐在较高温度(500℃以上)下反应;④氧化硫化物或亚硫酸盐。硫酸与硫酸钠或氯化钠作用可制得酸式硫酸盐。
