Taking the VLCC as the target, the author researched the changing tendency that different double side widths, double bottom heights and the distances from longitudinal bulkhead to center line impact on “accidental oil outflow performance” and “hypothetical outflow of oil”, and reaches some conclusions on MARPOL new Annex Ⅰ influences to overall layout of oil tankers.
