| 艾夫斯（1874～1954） Ives，Charles Edward 美国作曲家。1874年10月20日生于康涅狄格州丹伯里，1954年5月19日卒于纽约。幼年随父学习音乐，1894年入耶鲁大学从H.帕克学作曲。毕业后业余从事作曲。主要作品有第1～4交响曲及《假日》交响曲、第一管弦乐组曲《新英格兰的三个地方》、第二钢琴奏鸣曲《马萨诸塞州的康科德，1840～1860》、《第二弦乐四重奏》及小型乐队曲《未被回答的问题》、《中央公园的夜晚》等。在上述作品中，他使用了多调性、无调性、复节奏、四分之一音等现代音乐技法，并大量引用了美国流传甚广的各种民间或宗教音乐素材，如民歌、乡村铜管乐曲等。他去世后，作品受到重视。他的作品在美国音乐史上占有一定地位。他本人也是西方最早的现代派作曲家之一。 |
