运载神经垂体激素的蛋白质。下丘脑室旁核与视上核产生催产素和加压素，它们与"神经垂体激素运载蛋白"形成复合物，呈小颗粒状，Gomar2染色可使颗粒中运载蛋白着色。运载蛋白至少有两种：与加压素一起释放人血的运载蛋白I；与催产素一起释放人血的运载蛋白Ⅱ。运载蛋白在血中浓度可以作为衡量神经垂体激素分泌的标志。最近发现运载蛋白可能还把神经垂体激素运向腺垂体，使垂体的两部分发生机能上的联系。
