针织物的一种花色组织，在这种组织中，一根或几根衬垫纱按一定间隔在线圈上形成悬弧，而在织物反面由浮线相连。图1是平针衬垫组织,地纱以平针组织编织地组织，衬垫纱在地组织上以圈距数为1:1的长短比形成悬弧和浮线。根据结构不同,长短比还可为1:2或1:3等。衬垫组织在纬编中用平针组织、添纱组织、集圈组织、罗纹组织等作地组织。图2 为添纱衬垫组织，由面子纱、地纱和衬垫纱构成。这种组织与平针衬垫组织相比，衬垫纱不易显露在织物的正面,从而改善了织物的外观。在经编衬垫组织中,衬垫纱在地组织线圈上形成的悬弧由延展线连接，而延展线长度随梳栉横移针距数而变化，所以，可得到多种立体效应的花纹。衬垫组织的应用较广，可用来制做外衣、运动衣和装饰用布。衬垫纱经过拉绒可形成绒布，供衣着等用。
