| 可能性与现实性 possibility and actuality 反映事物或现象出现之前的发展趋势与出现之后的既成现实之间的相互联系的一对哲学范畴。可能性是客观事物内部包含着的这种或那种发展的趋势。现实性是可能性的实现，是相互联系的变化发展着的各种客观实在的事物和现象的总和。 在欧洲哲学史上，古希腊的亚里士多德第一次系统地论述了可能性（潜能）与现实性的关系。G.W.F.黑格尔是在马克思主义哲学产生之前辩证地考察可能性和现实性范畴最富有成果的哲学家。辩证唯物主义用对立统一的观点考察可能性与现实性，不仅科学地揭示了它们各自的含义，而且为进一步理解二者的辩证关系提供了钥匙。可能性与现实性是对立统一的关系。一方面，可能性与现实性是对立的，它们相互区别，不能等同。另一方面，可能性与现实性又是统一的，它们相互依存，相互转化。可能性是潜在的、尚未展开的现实性，现实性是充分展开并已实现了的可能性。现实性之所以成为现实性就在于它有先行的可能性作依据，可能性之所以是可能性就在于它是有待实现的现实性 ，二者不可分割。事物的发展总是可能性和现实性相互转化的过程。某种可能性因具备了一定条件而成为现实性，而在另种现实的基础上又会出现新的可能性。可能性转化为现实性需要一定的条件。因此，在人类改造自然和社会的实践活动中，必须在遵循客观规律的基础上，充分发挥人的自觉的能动性这一主观条件的作用，去实现可能性和现实性的相互转化。 |
