中国戏剧刊物。学术性季刊。中国戏剧出版社出版。1957年1月创刊，田汉任主编。从1957年1月至1958年共出 8期。着重发表研究戏剧史、戏剧文学以及舞台艺术等方面的文章。1959年与中国戏曲研究院编辑的《戏曲研究》合并，改名《戏剧研究》,从1959年2月至1960年2月共出7期，1960年停刊。1979年至1980年更名《戏剧艺术论丛》，由人民文学出版社不定期出版。1981年恢复《戏剧论丛》刊名，仍由中国戏剧出版社出版，赵寻任主编。复刊后着重发表研究当代戏剧问题、作家作品、舞台艺术及介绍有显著成就的戏剧艺术家的生平、创作道路和艺术实践经验的文章。1985年停刊。
