| 凯利（1811～1888） Kelly，William 美国转炉炼钢发明人之一。1846年在肯塔基州从事钢铁业。1851年发明一种炼钢法，即凯利空气吹炼法——向转炉内吹入空气使生铁脱碳变成钢。他建立小型转炉进行生产，1857年得到美国专利。关于发明转炉炼钢法的专利权，凯利与贝塞麦发生争执，双方几经诉讼，最后凯利在美国胜诉，该法在美国称为凯利-贝塞麦法。在欧洲习惯仍称贝塞麦法。 |
