性质：此药剂吸收一般比口服快而完全，效果可靠。常用于需要见效快，但不宜或不能由静脉给药的患者，以及不易从胃肠道吸收或易被消化酶破坏的药物。难溶性混悬注射液及在水溶液中加入缩血管药都可减慢吸收速度，延长作用时间。休克或心衰时，注射部位血流速度减慢，吸收困难，不宜采用本途径给药。也不宜用对组织有刺激性的药液，以免引起严重疼、组织坏死。
