| 贝汉津（约1844～1906） Behanzin 达荷美王国国王（1889～1894）。1890年2月，数百名法国军队登陆，占领科托努，贝汉津指挥5000～6000名达荷美士兵猛攻科托努，并包围了已沦为法国保护地的波多诺伏，最终迫使法国议和。在1890年10月缔结的和约中贝汉津承认法国无限期地占领科托努，但法国每年须向达荷美交付2万法郎作为“补偿”。1892年5月，法国派多德远征队登陆，封锁海岸，重开战端。先后进行了 5 次战役，贝汉津的军队作战英勇，但终因殖民军武装精良，达荷美王国首都阿波美于11月17日被占领；贝汉津率一部分军队退至王国北部坚持抵抗。1893 年8月，法国殖民军对达荷美王国发动了新的进攻。贝汉津虽多次摆脱殖民军的追击，但抵抗难以继续，无力再战。1894年 1月，他被法国殖民者废黜，流放到马提尼克岛。 |
