妙庄严路是从码头步行去普济寺的香路。此路依山循坡蜿蜒而上，路面由石板铺成。早先每隔三快石板即嵌一块刻有莲花图案的石板，且图案千姿百态，无一重复。现几经修补，路面莲花石板已不多见。据古书记载，古时夹路两旁多种夭桃，间以樟檀。每当春暖花开，轻红淡绿，相映成趣。路间有“入三摩地”、“金绳开觉路，宝筏渡迷川”等石刻题字，皆出自明代书法家董其昌之手笔。
