A study has been carried out for evaluating the mechanical properties of the reinforced concrete using recycled fibers from used carpets, and it presents that in contrast of traditional concrete, the compressive strength, shearing strength and bending strength are improved and the dry shrinkage, toughness and energy absorption are significantly increased.
