| 布鲁克林桥 Brooklyn Bridge 大跨度悬索桥。位于美国纽约市，跨伊斯特河，正面对风口。建于1869～1883年。主跨486.16米。是最早使用钢索和在气压沉箱中使用炸药的工程。布鲁克林桥的成就不仅在于刷新了当时的跨度纪录，而且在构造上采用了钢加劲桁架梁和很多根斜拉索，从而有效地抵御了风暴和周期性荷载的振荡 ，为悬索在美国的发展奠定了基础 。桥的悬索共4根，直径各 400 毫米，由平行钢丝组成，采用空中编缆法就地施工。原铺设有轨电车4线，汽车道2线和比汽车道高的宽阔人行道。1952年拆除桥上轨道，加宽汽车道，并将加劲梁加固（哥特式石桥塔、悬索、锚碇均未变），使汽车日通行量提高至6000辆。
