By having a study on the two Chinese versions of Alice\'s Adventures in Wonderland as a case, this thesis aims to (1) show its readers that fairy tale translation could, and should be under the guidance of Skopostheorie; (2) Skopostheorie is a theory with practical instructive function which enables us to have a more objective study of fairy tale translation activities from a new perspective.

The select strategy and translation quality of foreign affairs translation are discussed based on Skopostheory which comprises the following three rules,the intent of the translation subject,acceptability and cultural particularity.

In the light of Skopostheory,this paper attempted to look into the rendering of these images,taking into consideration retaining of the image,preserving the image with indispensable annotation,shifting the image or omitting the image so as to make them better understood by foreign tourists.
