College English text teaching in primary stage can be divided into pre-primary and post-pri- mary stages, it is needed to deal well with the relation between knowledge and ideological content, system and flexibility, language points and times characteristics.

From this text teaching and learning approach,the students can have a better understanding of the text and greatly improve their abilities.

On the basis of text teaching theory,this paper introduces the principles and models of text teaching in middle school,summarizes the procedures,the methods of presenting and explaining texts.
