商业街亦称商店街。大中城市店铺密集、服务设施齐全、商品丰富、客流量大的商业中心地区的泛称。一般仅次于城区为繁华地段和历史上自然形成的商业中心，各种类型、各种规模的百店排列于街道两旁，还穿插有饮食、住宿、娱乐等生活服务网点，能够同时满足消费者多方面的需求。商业街有很多种类。按地区分，有车站街、机场街、区域商业街、地下商业街;按行业性质分，有零售商业街、批发商业街;按经营商品分，有服装商业街、电器商业街、小商品商业街、专门经营书报和文娱用品的商业街、综合经营的中心街等。在西方国家，商业街还是许多小商店为了加强与超级市场的抗衡力量而自愿结成的松散联盟。它们把商业街当戊一个整体，努力办成具有活力的销售中心。商业街作为一种商业组织形式，各个商店都采取一致行动，如统一广告宣传，统一修建公共设施和装饰街面，使用统一包装和封签，统一进货发货等。为了建立商业信誉，还统一建立意见簿，并对从业人员进行教育和训练。
