Based on the comparison between the mechanism of the simultaneous contrast in biological vision and the anisotropic high-pass filtering and the analysis of the relation between the filtering performance and the angle of the edges and the orientation of the filter s long axes,an anisotropic high-pass filtering scheme on the basis of angle searching is proposed in this paper.
