性质：又称奎尼定。白色无定形或结晶性粉末，无臭，味苦，遇光颜色渐变暗。熔点174～175℃。旋光度+262º(乙醇)。1g溶解于2000ml冷水、800ml沸水、36ml乙醇、56ml乙醚、1.6ml氯仿，易溶于甲醇。无水品易溶氯仿。其硫酸盐为白色针晶，易溶于乙醇，溶于氯仿及沸水中，略溶于冷水中。可由金鸡纳树皮中提取奎宁、辛可宁、辛可尼丁后，从母液中提取奎宁丁。具有奎宁所有的药理作用，但对心肌细胞的电生理作用比奎宁强得多，用于治疗阵发性心动过速、心房颤动和早搏。制剂有片剂，注射剂。有机化学上作为光学异构体拆分剂。
