| 鄂温克族 中国少数民族。历史上各地曾分别称索伦、通古斯、雅库特等。1957年统一称为鄂温克。主要分布在内蒙古自治区及黑龙江省的部分地区。人口2.6万（1990）。使用鄂温克语，属阿尔泰语系满-通古斯语族通古斯语支。无文字，牧区通用蒙古语，蒙古文。农区、山区通用汉语，汉文。鄂温克祖先在贝加尔湖以东和黑龙江上游，从事渔猎和养鹿。大多数鄂温克人从事畜牧业生产，住蒙古包，过游牧生活。鄂温克族婚姻为一夫一妻制。以前人死行天葬，后多行土葬。讲究礼节，好客。过去多信仰萨满教，牧民同时信喇嘛教 。1945年前还有动物崇拜、图腾崇拜和祖先崇拜等残余。中华人民共和国建立后，定居放牧。
