      把通过被测件的波面用适当的光学系统分裂成两个,并使两波面彼此相互错开(剪切),在两波面重叠部分产生干涉图形的仪器。
  
  以常见的横向剪切干涉仪为例。如图所示,激光束被聚光镜1会聚到空间滤波器2上,滤波器置于被测物镜3的焦点上,从物镜出射的波面通过一稍有楔角的平板 4前后表面的反射,形成两个彼此横向错开的波面,在两波面重叠处形成干涉图形,通过判读条纹可评价被测物镜的传递函数。
  
  除横向剪切干涉仪外,如使两波面沿径向剪切即两波面尺寸不同形成干涉的称径向剪切干涉仪;如使两波面绕中心小量旋转而相互错开形成干涉的称旋转剪切干涉仪;如使两波面反向错开形成干涉的称反向剪切干涉仪。
  
  剪切干涉仪的优点是可省去标准的参考光学表面,结构简单稳定。其弱点是剪切后形成的干涉图形判读比较困难。剪切干涉仪主要用作测定光学零件的面型、光学系统的像差和光学传递函数、流场的均匀性等。对激光束的波面测量而言,剪切干涉仪是唯一可用的干涉形式。
