The mountainous villages and towns, as a widespread form of settlement, the residential housing design of disaster prevention and construction have not yet been given sufficient consideration and research.

Considering the present condition of the villages and towns in frigid region,the developing foreground and adaptability of light steel structure system in the villages and towns of frigid region was expatiated,which has the certainly realistic meaning with light steel structure residence system expansion and application at the villages and towns in frigid region of our country.

The mountainous towns of Lincang have to face many difficulties in their process of spatial expansion with the rapidly urbanization,such as reduction of cultivated land around the towns,lower using rate of new towns,hidden danger of the geological disaster,destruction of the towns landscape and losing of the towns character.

Through research of mountainous town ecological features and structures,it simply analyzes the mountainous town ecological energy-saving design,has significance for promoting the adjusted development of society,economy and ecology and guiding the way of sustainable development.

Due to the unique natural ecological condition, backward economic development, the closed transportation and arduous construction condition, the human settlement of Yunnan mountainous town is difficult to be improved, which not only has affected the mountainous town’s sustainable development,also has restricted the peripheral village development.
