性质:结合蛋白质中的一类。普遍存在于各种生物的细胞核中的特殊形态的蛋白质,由核酸与组蛋白、精蛋白似的碱性蛋白结合而成为细胞核的主要成分。根据核酸种类不同,可分为核糖核酸核蛋白和脱氧核糖核酸核蛋白。可从细胞核中提取得到,能溶解于1mol/L NaCl溶液中。核蛋白中的蛋白质包括组蛋白(或精蛋白)和非组蛋白蛋白质。组蛋白含碱性氨基酸如精氨酸、赖氨酸等丰富的碱性蛋白,带正电荷。精蛋白仅出现于真核细胞中,含较多的天门冬氨酸、谷氨酸等酸性氨基酸,是酸性蛋白,带负电荷。核蛋白在遗传及蛋白质合成中起着决定性作用,也是生物体内某些病毒和噬菌体的惟一组成成分。
