【日本渔业协同组合]根据日本1948年水产业协同组合法由渔业协同组合、渔业生产组合与水产加工业协同组合联合创设的机构。其中可以经营信用业务的是渔业协同组合与水产加工业协同组合，但信用事业的比重要比农业协同组合小，采购、买卖、制冰冷冻等经济事业是其中心内容。经营信用业务的基层组合数在1985年末为1757个，其中渔业协同组合达1725个，占总数的95%。渔业协同组合的信用业务主要是从组合成员中吸收储蓄及对组合成员发放贷款。1985年末的存款余额为15528亿日元，贷款余额为108%亿日元，其规模比农业协同组合小得多，但存款比率高达71%。 经营信用事业的渔业系统的基层组合共同组成了设在各府道都县的上层机构—渔业协同组合联合会。1985年日本共有35个这样的联合会。这些联合会不得经营信用之外的业务，其主要业务是向会员吸收储蓄和发放贷款，1985年末存款余额1兆5474亿日元，贷款余额为8204亿日元。
