性质:将被保护金属进行阴极极化以减小或防止金属腐蚀的方法。它可用两种方法来实现,一种称为外加电流阴极保护(applied current cathodic protection)。是将被保护金属与直流电源的负极相连,利用外加电流进行阴极极化。一种称为牺牲阳极保护法(protection of sacrificial anode)。是在被保护设备上连接一个电位更负的金属(如在钢设备上连接锌块)作阳极,它与被保护金属设备在电解质溶液中形成大电池,使设备进行阴极极化。阴极保护法简单易行,保护效果好。通常运用于中性盐溶液、土壤、海水、江水、碱溶液、弱酸和有机酸等介质中。阴极保护对防止某些金属的应力腐蚀破裂、腐蚀疲劳、黄铜脱锌等特殊腐蚀也有很好的效果。
