性质:声波通过某种介质或射到某介质表面时,声能减少或转换为其他能量的过程称为吸声。表征材料吸声性能的参数是吸声系数(acoustical absorption coefficient),即被材料吸收的声能与入射声能的比值。吸声系数大于0.2的材料称为吸声材料(acoustical absorption materials)。常用的吸声材料有玻璃棉、矿渣棉、卡普隆纤维、棉麻等植物纤维、泡沫微孔吸声砖等。
