| 种子贮藏 seed preservation 种子收获后至播种前的保存过程。要求防止发热霉变和虫蛀，保持种子生活力、纯度和净度，为农业生产提供合格的播种材料。种子生活力的主要标志是其萌发性能，保持萌发能力的期限为种子寿命。发芽性能和寿命主要决定于遗传特性、种子形态结构和生理活性、种子质量和贮藏条件。以种子含水量和贮藏的温度、湿度等的影响显著。种子含水量在贮藏期间应控制在安全水分以下，稻、麦、玉米等粮食作物种子安全含 水量为12％～13％；棉花、豆类、花生等高油量种子为5％～9％；蔬菜种子为7％～9％。温度和湿度显著影响种子生活力，应避免高温（＞30℃）和高湿（相对湿度＞75％或种子含水量＞15％）的贮藏条件。气体影响种子呼吸，应保持10～20℃低温、干燥种子在密闭条件（减少含氧量）下贮藏。贮藏方法因种子用途而异。作物品系、育种材料种子，用麻袋、多孔纸袋、玻璃瓶等包装；大田种子采用散装、围囤或袋装。种子入库前先行种子清选干燥和库房消毒；入库后注意通风换气和防潮、防虫、防鼠并定期检查和测定发芽率。
