性质:四环三萜类衍生物。结晶性粉末(正丁醇-甲基乙基酮或甲酸乙酯)。熔点194~196.5℃,旋光度+32 (吡啶)。旋光度[α]D+24.80 。溶于甲醇、吡啶、热丙酮,稍溶于乙酸乙酯及氯仿。其乙酰化物溶于甲醇、吡啶、热丙酮,稍溶于乙酸乙酯及氯仿。其乙酰化物为针晶,熔点245℃。存在于五加科植物人参[Panax ginseng C.A.Mey er(P. schinseng Nees)]的根、花蕾、茎、叶,西洋参(P. quinquefolium L.)的根。大鼠腹腔注射100mg/kg, 4h后骨髓细胞的DNA的生物合成明显增加;对蛋白质或脂质的生物合成作用与对DNA的生物合成的作用有大致相同倾向;能减少酰胆碱引起的豚鼠离体子宫的收缩;对大鼠有减慢心率和双向性血压作用(先升后降);有舒张动物血管和抗疲劳作用。
