| 硼纤维 boron fibre 在金属丝上沉积硼而形成的无机纤维。通常用氢和三氯化硼在炽热的钨丝上反应，置换出无定形的硼沉积于钨丝表面获得。属脆性材料，抗拉强度约3500兆帕，弹性模量400吉帕，密度只有钢材的1／4，抗压缩性能好；在惰性气体中，高温性能良好；在空气中超过500℃时，强度显著降低。是良好的增强材料，可与金属、塑料或陶瓷复合，制成高温结构用复合材料。如硼／铝复合板材，其纤维体积含量达50％时，在增强方向上抗拉强度达1500兆帕，弹性模量200吉帕，密度为2.6克／厘米3。由于其高的比强度和比模量，在航空、航天和军工领域获得广泛应用。硼纤维活性大，在制作复合材料时易与基体相互作用，影响材料的使用，故通常在其上涂敷碳化硼、碳化硅等涂料，以提高其惰性。 |
