补充资料：蔚州玉皇阁
蔚州玉皇阁坐落于河北蔚州北城墙上。玉皇阁高峻而雄伟，整个楼阁分前后两院，前院由天王殿和15间禅房组成。后院正面为玉皇阁大殿，殿内正面为玉皇大帝塑像，两侧墙壁上为洞神壁画，大殿用柱36根，柱上有精美的斗拱。玉皇阁为重檐歇山琉璃瓦顶，外观三层，实为两层。玉皇阁大殿前左有钟楼，右有鼓楼。玉皇阁始建于明洪武十年（1377年），历代屡次修整，现存重修碑7块。玉皇阁名为敬奉玉皇大帝，实则为防备外来之敌。蔚州城始建于南北朝北周大象二年（580年），城周七里十三步，城高四丈，东为安定门，南为景仙门，西为清远门，惟北城墙未开城门，而建有玉皇阁一座。蔚州城不设北门铺路。这与明初防御元朝残余势力骚扰的大形势相适应。登临玉皇阁可凭槛眺望塞外大好风光，为历代文人墨客游览胜地。
