消焰器——发射时减少膛口火光的装置。膛口安装消焰器后，一部分没燃尽的火药微粒在流入消焰器内得到燃烧，因此减少了一次焰；同时氧化不完全的气体在消焰器内，使二次焰在消焰器内部形成，不致暴露在外界，达到隐蔽自己的目的。
