Multi-curriculum Integration in An English Dictionary of Learning and Communication

From the dynamic prospective of international lexicographic trend and through the diachronic & synchronic investigation into the research of English learners dictionary use(ELDU) at home and abroad,the author concludes the former enjoys prosperity whereas the latter receives scant attention and proposes corresponding solutions to change the unhappy situation.

By comparing two typical examples of English learning dictionaries,the Oxford Advanced English Dictionary 6~(th) edition and Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English 4~(th) edition,this paper highlights the common features and unique features,discussing the tendency of the development of learning dictionaries.
