Automatic reading method of pointer meter of industry and mine based on image technology has been a research hotspot of industry and mine automation recently,but the urgent problem is the place of camera and imaging distortion affected the reading precision.

To implement the automatic detection of the analog measuring instruments,an automatic system of detecting analog measuring instruments based on the technology of computer digital image processing is designed.

In this dissertation, an auto-detecting method of detecting analog measuring instruments, based on digital image processing technique, high-precision grating measuring technique and step-electromotor controlling technique, is put forwarded.
