简要介绍
历史散文的概念是对诸子百家的哲理散文而言的。
哲理散文以析理论辩为主，不专记人记事；历史散文则以记述历史事件的演化过程为主，最早的历史散文是《尚书》。《尚书》有今文、古文之分。今文《尚书》指秦焚书后，汉初儒者搜集到的29篇文章，因用当时通行的隶书写定，故称今文尚书；汉武帝时从孔子故宅坏壁中发现用古文字写的《尚书》，称为古文《尚书》。古文《尚书》已被证明是伪作；今文《尚书》也有一些值得怀疑的篇章。
《尚书》的内容，大多是一些誓词、政府文告、贵族的告诫之词，也有一些对事物的客观记述。《盘庚》古奥难读，保存的原貌也较多，主要是记述盘庚迁殷时对臣民的三次讲话。类似的还有《大诰》、《洛浩》。《顾命》是一篇记述成王死、康王即位的仪式的文字，叙事清晰，井井有条，初具记事散文的规模。
