    结构式为CH3CH(OH)CH2OC4H9,分子量132.07。无色透明液体, 相对密度(20 ℃/20℃)0.8843,凝固点—100 ℃,沸点170.1,闪点(开口)68℃,折射率1.4174,粘度(20℃)3.4mPa·s,溶于乙醇、乙醚、苯、甲苯、四氯化碳, 难溶于水,20 ℃在水中溶解度为6.4%(wt)。易燃,无毒。
    用作溶剂、助溶剂,熊溶解多种聚合物。还可用作防冻剂、清洗剂、萃取剂,  贮存于阴凉、通风、干燥的库房内,远离火种、热泥,期限2年。
