【来源】
为杨柳科植物红皮柳树干的内皮。植物形态详"水杨根"条。
【药理作用】
水杨甙口服后15～30分钟，在尿中即可出现水杨甙元、水杨酸等，因此它也有抗风湿作用；其作用基于在体内分解出水杨酸，但此种转变又不是恒定的，因而其治疗价值低于水杨酸。它尚有苦味健胃作用。水杨甙元4～10%有局部麻醉作用。

《千金方》："治金疮苦痛，杨木白皮熬令燥，末之，服方寸匕，日三。又末敷疮中。"
