米兰的病害有茎腐病、炭疽病等；虫害有白娥蜡蝉、蚜虫、红蜘蛛、介壳虫等。
茎腐病，发生于米兰茎干上。病初起时，为黑色小斑，扩大后成条状，暗褐色，绕茎一周后，引起植株死亡。发病初期可用0.5%一1%波尔多液涂抹枝干；也可用l一2度石琉合剂或70%托布律800倍水溶液涂抹，效果也较好。
炭疽病，是米兰主要病害，多发于6一10月。发病初期，病斑从叶尖、叶缘侵入，使叶尖变成褐色。植株的叶片、叶柄、茎干上均可发生。防治方法：发现病叶病枝，要及时切除，并改善通风条件。也可用高锰酸钾1000-1200倍水溶液喷洒。
米兰的虫害红蜘蛛、蚜虫等均可用40%乐果1000一1500倍水溶液喷洒，也可用1200倍敌敌畏水溶液喷洒。
