For the complexity of the slope problem,safety factor interval with entire safety factor and local safety factor was applied to research the failure risk of rock slope and heterogeneous slope.

On the basis of this, an analytic formula of function is derived and the formula shows the relationship among the safety factor of stability and geotechnical parameters, retaining and protecting parameters, distribution of ground load, the depth of foundation pit excavation and coordinates.
