In the past half century,the oil painting production of military history theme in our country has had great achievements with the borrowing of the western classicism and the realism system of the former Soviet Union.

The historical theme is a popular one for the creation of films and TV series over recent years.

Moreover, both works pursue complication and absurdity of history through re-narration of historical theme.

Among many works of historical theme in Chinese literature, the historical novels (including myths and legends) by Lu Xun and historical dramas by Guo Moruo are doubtlessly most representative.

Based on the previous researches, in this paper we reexamine the campaign with a view to Historical Military Geography in order to correct the misunderstanding and enrich the understanding of this campaign.
