小孤山
小孤山，位于安徽省宿松县城东南65公里的长江之中，南与西江彭泽县仅一江之隔，西南与庐山隔江相望 ，是万里长江的绝胜，江上第一奇景，被益为长江绝岛与彭泽县的龙宫洞、湖口的石钟山、鄱阳湖的大孤山(鞋山)相距只几十里。小孤山，原是长江中一座石屿，开始形成于第四纪冰川时期。相传大禹治水，至此刻石记功，秦始皇东巡，勒中流砥柱于石上。小孤山以其独立无依而得名。山形似古代妇女上的发髻，山体奇特秀美，东看一支笔，西望太师椅,南观如撞钟，北观啸天龙。
山周里许，高达一百余米。山上竹木郁郁葱葱，山下江水滔滔滚滚。海潮至此，不复而上，故有“海门第一关”之称 。小孤山地形险要，是历代兵家必争之地。南宋后在此设过烽火台和炮台，元代红巾军与余阙，明代朱元璋与陈友谅，王守仁与朱宸濠，清彭玉麟与太平军，均在此地对垒交锋,遂有"安庆门户“楚塞吴关”之称。
自上而下，历365级石阶，迂回曲折,沿途可览一天门、龙而洞、弥陀阁、先月楼、圣母殿、半边塔、界潮祠、梳妆亭 、御诗碑诸景。上东山险峰，可俯看郎君山与一滴泉。绕山麓行，看海眼，拦江石，龙角石，古生物化石诸景，美不胜收。历代帝王将相、文臣墨客登山有诗词楹联数百篇，大部分仍存供赏。山上启秀寺，是佛教名山之一，唐高僧马道一创立。北宋改名惠济庙，祀海神祖。妈祖系福建莆田湄洲屿人。父名林愿，宋初官都巡检。妈祖名林默，生于宋隆元年（906年）三月二十三日酉时，十五岁成道，二十八岁升天。传说妈祖云游长江，觅小孤山这块宝地，化身溺水江中，被当地渔民詹公三在挣中捞起，安于山上，威灵显应，香火旺盛。历代皇封天妃、圣母等登峰造极之位。小孤山系妈祖的行宫，小孤山石刻被安徽省人民政府定为重点文物保护单位。小孤山风景区为省级风景名胜区。启秀寺为安徽省重点寺庙。
